Who we are

Crew is a product of The Verified Group Ltd (a company registered in England & Wales), trading as Crew (“we”, “us”), operating the Crew shift-work platform at getcrew.uk. The Verified Group Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described below. Contact: hello@getcrew.uk.

Payments on Crew are processed by our reseller Paddle.com, who acts as the Merchant of Record and a recipient of personal data necessary to process the sale (billing details, transaction info, tax-related data).

What we collect

  • Account data: name, email, password (hashed), role (manager / staff).
  • Shift data: rotas, claimed shifts, swaps, hours worked.
  • Network data (optional): approximate location, role tags (chef, barista, FOH) so we can match you to nearby open shifts.
  • Usage: device type, timestamps, basic analytics (no third-party trackers).

How we use it

To run your rota, send shift notifications, match cover requests, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising profiles.

Lawful basis

Contract (running the service you signed up for), legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention, product improvement), and consent (location, marketing emails — opt-in only).

Sharing

With your venue’s manager and team for shifts you’re part of. With infrastructure providers (hosting, email, database) under processor agreements. With law enforcement only when legally required.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

Access, rectify, delete, restrict, port, or object to processing of your data. Email privacy@getcrew.uk. Complaints: the ICO (ico.org.uk).

Retention

Active accounts: kept while you use Crew. Deleted accounts: removed within 30 days, except where law requires longer (e.g. tax records).

Cookies

We use essential cookies only (sign-in session). No advertising or cross-site trackers.

This is a starting policy. Have a solicitor review it before public launch.
